“It’s definitely a strange name for a restaurant,” Thomas Bromwich tells Broadsheet. “But it’s a bit of a subverted expectation thing.” He’s talking about Ennui, the two-storey dining room he’s opening together with mates Samuel Woods and Peter Chan later this year.

Heritage Haymarket building to become wine and whisky bar-restaurant.

Ennui will open in a cute two-storey sandstone building next to the Capitol Theatre. The 1846 sandstone building at 461 Pitt Street in Haymarket has at various times been home to a Presbyterian minister, an ironmonger, and a colonial locksmith.
